michael prince celebrates campbell's 150th anniversary
2019 marks the 150th anniversary of the Campbell’s Soup Company. Celebrating to Campbell’s means celebrating its employees. The company asked Michael Prince to visit the corporate headquarters in New Jersey and a manufacturing facility in North Carolina to create a series of portraits of Campbell’s most valued employees—from executives to chefs to workers on the factory floor.
“At each location, I was introduced to an employee and given a few minutes to create a compelling portrait. The challenge and the goal, as it always is in this type of situation, is to quickly establish a relationship with the subject to help them relax. What I’m after is an authentic, honest expression, not a posed smile,” said Michael.
The team also visited a warehouse the size of a couple of football fields and stacked to the roof with cans of Campbell’s soup.
“It was interesting to talk to the chefs about the qualities of the various soups. I’m really proud to work for a company that makes something so simple and nutritious and puts it into a can,” Michael added.
Happy Anniversary Campbell’s!
