mca roadshow: los angeles
It went something like this. At our annual marketing meeting in January, I told RJ I wanted a separate automotive portfolio since I got so many requests for direct links to his car work. That segued into a discussion about all the great car work we do and the people behind it.
RJ asked, “How’s James?” and “What do you hear from Jessica and Diana?” I saw an opening and I seized it. I said, “Well RJ, I’m going to see them all the first week of May, why don’t you join me and find out for yourself?” Miraculously, RJ agreed. My theory on the the acquiescence is best explained by this post, “Marianne Made Me Do It.” RJ and I have been working together for 16 years and as in any great long-term relationship, at some point you just know when something is important to the other person. So…RJ and I just spent the past few days in Los Angeles making the rounds with his brand new automotive portfolio. And the best part? I’m pretty sure RJ totally loved it.
