New York City stylist John Masters founded his eponymous line of hair products based on his passion for healthy, holistic living. The products—hair milk with rose and hibiscus, shampoo with rosemary and lavender, and nourishing facial oil with pomegranate—are chock full of delicious organic ingredients. The company, John Masters Organics, now has more than 70 stores and salons worldwide, in addition to the original Soho salon on Sullivan St.
“I love John Masters Organics because all the ingredients are super good for you. They have really embraced this theme of showing off the ingredients that make up the products in their imagery in this beautiful and casual way,” said Annabelle Breakey.
Annabelle recently worked with Chen Design Associates and stylist Nissa Quanstrom to create a new set of imagery for the John Masters Organics website, stores, and social media.
“Nissa is amazing. All of the placement of the ingredients is very deliberate to make sure it looks spontaneous and effortless, but a great amount of care went into this project. And it’s been really wonderful working with Chen to find the voice for this company with a global market,” said Annabelle.
All of the plant and food elements shown in the images—avocado, orange, grapefruit, calendula, honey, hibiscus, and olive—come right from the ingredient lists on the back of the products.
“I love every single one of the John Masters products. I highly recommend them!” exclaimed Annabelle.
